Public information initiatives
V National government and/or non-government organizations conduct regular public information initiatives about the dangers of tobacco use without a legislative mandate from the government (as reported by NGOs).

Sales and distribution restrictions
Tobacco sales prohibited near schools & recreation areas
X Retail tobacco sales are not permitted in some facilities and locations according to national legislation and/or regulations.
Sales or distribution to minors prohibited
X Individuals under a certain age may not purchase cigarettes or another tobacco product according to national legislation and/or regulations.

Health warning on tobacco packaging
X National laws and/or regulations mandate printed health warnings on tobacco product packaging.
Ingredient disclosure on packaging
X National laws and/or regulations mandate printed disclosure of, at minimum, the tar and nicotine yields per cigarette on tobacco product packaging.

Aircraft (domestic flights)
B Smoking is absolutely prohibited aboard aircraft during flights within national borders according to national legislations and/or regulations.
Educational facilities
B Smoking is prohibited in educational facilities according to national legislation and/or regulations; facilities with a designated smoking area are included in this category if non-smoking areas must always remain uncontaminated by smoke.
Government buildings (social institutions)
